Daniel Norman, M.D.

Investigator

Board Certified in Sleep Medicine, Pulmonary, and Critical Care

Dr. Norman graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. He then attended the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine where his academic excellence was recognized by his election to Alpha Omega Alpha and the National Dean's List. At Harvard School of Medicine's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, he completed residency training in Internal Medicine and a dedicated fellowship in Sleep Medicine. He then completed an additional fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center before returning to Los Angeles. Dr. Norman is board certified in Sleep Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He has maintained his academic credentials by participating in numerous clinical research studies, lecturing at the University of California, Los Angeles, and authoring over 19 abstracts, book chapters, and scientific articles in peer review journals.

 

Lisa C. Moore, M.D.

Investigator

Board Certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine

Dr. Lisa Moore attended the University Of Texas, Houston Medical School where she earned her M.D. She then completed an internship and residency at UCLA Medical Center, and continued her education by pursing a fellowship at UCLA Geffen School of Medicine in Endocrinology.  Dr. Moore has been in private practice for the last 12 years and is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She earned the Patient’s Choice Award in 2008-2009. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and has participated in numerous clinical trials over the last 5 years including A Registry of Sipuleucel-T Therapy in Men with Advanced Prostate Cancer, Phase ½ of PX-866 and Cetuximab and other biopharmaceutical research in Type I and Type II diabetes. 

Clifford Segil, D.O.

Investigator

Board Certified in Neurology

Dr. Clifford Segil completed an undergraduate degree from Trinity University and went on to complete medical school at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Segil then completed residency training at University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine in Adult Neurology. At the University of California, Los Angles, Ronald Regan Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in Neurophysiology, and has additional sub-specialty training in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Segil is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is part of the EEG reading panel and staff member at UCLA Medical Center-Santa Monica and guest lecturer at UCLA Department of Neurology.  He owns a private practice at St. John’s Health Center, teaches residents at UCLA’s Neurology Department after being awarded their Fellow Teaching Award in 2009, and volunteers at the Venice Family Clinic. 

R. Sonia Batra, M.D., MSc, MPH

Investigator

Board Certified in Dermatology

Dr. Sonia Batra ventured east for undergraduate studies at Harvard University after graduating Valedictorian of Palisades High School. At Harvard she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Batra graduated early from Harvard and was selected from California as the youngest Rhodes Scholar. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Genetics at the University of Oxford, England. Dr. Batra earned her medical degree with honors from Harvard Medical School, where she was President of the Student Council. She also earned a Master’s degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her Internship, Residency, and Chief Residency in dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She returned to Boston for fellowship training in Dermatologic, Laser, Cosmetic and Mohs Micrographic Surgery at SkinCare Physicians of Chestnut Hill as well as clinical research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She remains actively involved in clinical research and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the USC Keck School of Medicine. She is also a Contributing Editor for the journal Dermatologic Surgery and a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and JAMA Dermatology.

Katy M. Setoodeh, M.D., F.A.C.R

Certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine

Dr. Katy M. Sethoodeh is Attending Physcian at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles and Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She recieved her medical degree fro University of California, Irvine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA-Olive View Medical Center and fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Setoodeh is board certified in both Rheumatolgy and Internal Medicine. Her clinical interests include developing effecting treatment stratefies for patients with rheumatic diseases. Dr. Setoodeh has authored articles that are published in peer-reviewed journals such as Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, Postgraduate Medicine, and Nutrition and Cancer. She is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and member of the Los Angeles County Medical Association and Southern California Rheumatology Society.

Nicole M. Weinberg, M.D.

Investigator

Board Certified in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology

Dr. Nicole Weinberg graduated Cum Laude from Emory University in Atlanta before pursuing her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She went on to intern and complete residency training in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance. Dr. Weinberg is board certified in Internal Medicine and practices at the Pacific Heart Institute. She is a staff cardiologist at St. John’s Hospital and Health Center, as well as, UCLA Medical Center - Santa Monica. She contributed to publications in cardiology, including Left Ventricular Intracardiac Metastatic Germ Cell Tumor Presenting with Hemorrhagic Cerebrovascular Event in the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography: Official Publication of the American Society of Echocardiography.
